Designed on the basis of a German torpedo boat (E) from the Second World War. It was in service with the Navy of Germany from 1958 to 1976 . In total, about 20 boats were built. Subsequently, some of them were sold to Turkey in the 1970s. This boat served as the basis for the development of the Saar 2 missile boat.
