The value of Aspectus drives for the development of industry and sports is very high. In addition to the fact that the company produced classic disks, there were also its own innovative developments from Jacob Hus. Discs in his individual performance differed in original construction and design. All branded discs, as a rule, had non-traditional coloring (usually bright green, bright orange colors), as well as a technically interesting implementation. The disk was made of polymer, which, oddly enough, was supplied by Volvo from Gothenburg. The use of this polymer (DX234 in Volvo's internal marking) made it possible to lighten the disc and achieve its enormous strength. Lightweight drives are very good in calm weather and, in fact, thanks to this, Sweden has always been in the leading position in competitions.
Swedish teams and competition and game players typically used Aspectus discs. Players and teams can always be recognized by the presence of their bright green, bright orange discs.
Later, when standardizing the rules of games, similar colors were canceled and Aspectus had to slightly change the specifics of their work. In 1995, Wham-O made an offer to Jacob Hus to head the sports innovation department at one of their affiliated companies. In this post, Jacob stayed a year and later, in his words, "decided to find himself in something new and interesting." Then he left the company and is now one of the co-owners of the Swedish “WESC”, which produces modern youth clothes, headphones and other accessories.
What is characteristic, WESC products differ from competitors precisely in the use of non-traditional colors and original design solutions. There is Jacob’s influence.
True, according to Svenska Nyhetten (the Swedish daily), Jacob leads a calm lifestyle, studying in graduate school at the University of Lund in the field of biochemistry.
