History

The brigade was formed in Barnaul , more precisely on the 18th railway junction on the bank of Barnaulka , the headquarters of the brigade was in Barnaul , Lenin Avenue, 11. The formation of the brigade was delayed - although the brigade was voluntary, this name does not fully reflect reality, part of the brigade were made by special settlers (fists and other "anti-Soviet element) and not all of them willingly went to war. Moreover, there were many volunteers from this composition. [1]

Strictly speaking, it is the 74th infantry brigade of the 2nd formation, since in the fall of 1941 the 74th separate infantry brigade was formed , which was soon renamed into the maritime one.

In the army from 10/04/1942 to 04/26/1943 .

09.16.1942 went by train to the Moscow Region , where it was understaffed, from there by 10/06/1942 - transferred to Selizharovo station, where it was unloaded.

She made a 170-kilometer walking march from unloading places to positions in the area west of Bely . the staff was completely exhausted. It took its initial positions only by the middle of November 1942 , for a while it rested.

They walked mainly at night, and the roads there are such that not only people - the horse will not pass, ”says Nina Feofanovna. - Around the same time, the first patients, dystrophics, appeared in our medical battalion. 11/25/1942 went on the offensive south of the city of Bely , being on the right flank of the army’s strike group. With the support of the tank companies of the 65th Tank Brigade ( 1st Mechanized Corps ), it defeated units of the 2nd Air Field Division at the strongpoints of Yemelyanovo and Shiparevo, and continued its attack on Bykovo in the Vienna Valley. Moved very deep east, breaking away from its parts.

12/07/1942 German troops struck from the south to Bely and the brigade was surrounded, from where the remnants of the brigade came to 12/15/1942 . According to German estimates, the brigade was completely destroyed.

After the operation, the brigade was withdrawn to the reserve, where it was replenished and understaffed.

In January-February 1943 , she fought near the city of Loknya .

04/26/1943 turned to the formation of the 56th Guards Rifle Division
