History

The village was founded in 1196. The name of the village comes from the name of its founder - Chernigov Prince Yaroslav , who ruled in 1177-1198.

By the beginning of the XVIII century. Yaroslavka was part of the Bobrovitsky hundreds of Kiev regiments and was the property of the hetmans. In 1713, the hetman Skoropadsky gave the village to the Kiev-Vydubitsky monastery . It was created "savings" with orchards, a pond, a water mill and a distillery.

In 1738, an impostor appeared in Yaroslavka, posing as the son of Peter I Alexei Petrovich . It turned out to be a worker of the Basan centurion Klimovich S. Pretender supported by the local priest Gabriel Tomb.

On the territory of the village are the remains of the settlement "Prince's Compound" (XII-XIII century). Mounds of the II-I millennium BC were found near the village of Yaroslavka.

Population

According to the 2006 census, 936 people lived in the village of Yaroslavka.

In the early 1740s in Yaroslavka, a prominent Russian lawyer and moral writer Vladimir Zolotnitsky was born in the family of a priest of the Intercession Church Trofim Slodnitsky.
