80 km to the north. from Zhytomyr.
History
It originated as a Lutheran settlement.
In the pre-revolutionary period, the village was part of the Barashevskaya volost of the Zhytomyr district of the Volyn province [3] , after the end of the civil war and administrative-territorial reform - became part of the Zhytomyr region.
During the Great Patriotic War in 1941-1943, the village was under German occupation .
In January 1989, the population size was1,497 people [4] .
As of January 1, 2013, the population was 1,146 people [5] .
