Content

Geography

The area of ​​the county is 1823 km². In the north-west, it is bordered by the Bjelovarsko-Bilogorsk county, in the north with Virovichko-Podravska , in the north-east with Osiechko-Baranska , in the south with Brodsko-Posavska and in the south-west with Sisachko-Moslavachka . Pozheshko-Slavonsk is one of the three Croatian counties that do not have access to the borders of the country.

The center of the county is basically low, the main part of it is occupied by the fertile Pozheskaya hollow. The mountains pass along the northern and southern part of the county, from the north are Papuk , Krndia and Dil-Gore , separating the Pozheskaya depression from Podravina , and from the south - Psun forming the border between Pozheskaya hollow and Posavina .

Population

According to the 2001 census, 85,831 people lived on the territory of the county. The national composition of the population of the county: 88.7% Croats , 6.5% Serbs , 1% Italians , 0.9% Hungarians .
