Yashchenko ( Ukrainian: Yaschenko ) - a village located in the Varvinsky district of the Chernihiv region ( Ukraine ). Local government - Svetlichnensky village council. It is located on the Mnoga River (the left tributary of the Uday River) [1] .

Content
History
The village was first mentioned in 1869 on a military topographic map of the Russian Empire. It was part of the Glinsky district, then in the Kharkivetsky (1923-1928) and Varvinsky (1928-1930) districts of the Pryluky district .
In 1923-1930, the Yashenkov farm was subordinated to the Dashenkovsky village council.
In 1925, the village had 40 yards and 186 residents; in 1930 - 45 yards and 209 residents.
In 1996, there were 33 courtyards and 59 inhabitants.
Description
The main nameless street runs from west to east. Two more depart from it to the southeast to the Mnoga river.
The distance to the district center, town. Varva is 10 km away. There also passes the nearest road of territorial significance T 2530 .
There is a small artificial reservoir in the southern part of the village on the Sukhorech River, a tributary of the Mnoga River, the spillway of which is now the source of Mnoga.
The settlement belongs to the Svetlichnenskaya secondary school of I-II steps.
A polling station is being organized in the village. In the 2004 election, it was polling station No. 48 of Territorial Electoral District No. 212.
