Content
Story
Events take place in Zagreb liberated from German troops in 1945 . The young widow Matilda Ivanchich is accused of collaborating with the Nazis and sentenced to correctional labor. Lieutenant-communist Peter Horvath rejects all attempts by women to make excuses. But picking up the documents, he finds out that Matilda’s husband, engineer Neven Ivanchich, was an underground and died in the dungeons of the Gestapo. In the evening, Peter leaves for Matilda to apologize.
Soon, Komsomol member Lilyana Matich, a naive village girl, settled in Matilda’s apartment. She is sincerely surprised by the lifestyle of a refined housewife. Lilyana - the bride of lieutenant Horvath. He also settles at Matilda. And the mistress attracts him more than the bride ...
