Title
It is named after the river Urika , on which the village is located.
History
It was founded in the 17th century by service people on the Atemarsky serif line of the southeastern border of the Russian state.
From the list of “Composition of the male population of the Zavalny and Rudninsky camps of the Saransk Uyezd for 1725”, it can be seen that there were one-man palaces in the village, that is, former service people.
In the "List of Populated Places of the Penza Province" (1869), Urishka (Zorinka) is the village of the owner of 19 yards of the Saransk district.

In 1849, after the death of the landowner Anna Aleksandrovna Naumova, the peasants of her estate, the village of Urishka, due to the fact that the deceased had no direct heirs, decided to try to get freedom from serfdom. A peasant, Bartholomew Shvetsov, was elected to St. Petersburg to give the pardon to the tsar, but Pankrat Zakharov went to the capital instead, receiving an annual passport. He lived in the capital for several years, then he was arrested and sent to Siberia.
In 1913, there were 184 yards in the village with a population of 1,139 people. There were 8 windmills, a forge, two oil churns and podsolanki, a bread store.
After the revolution in 1917, the village of Daryevka was formed (now Daryevka street with 17 houses). The name is due to the fact that Daria Savinova first settled. The order of the streets, similar to a stick, was called Zakalyuk (now Pridorozhnaya street with 30 houses). To the north lies Ilyinovka, also named for the first settler (now Ilyinovka street with 33 houses). Where Yezhovka Street is now located (now Zelenaya Street with 50 houses), Ivan Ignatievich Makarov first settled, then Leonty Makarov and Nikolai Makarov. On the field near the street there were many hedgehogs, hence the name Ezhovka. Fighting arose in 1929 (now Dalnaya Street with 19 houses). Gusev Ivan Vasilievich, Soldatov Andrey Andreevich were the first to settle on this street. On the south side, Uriška settled first “Rogan”, after they began to build houses from west to east, and the village grew up, which became known as Roganovka (now M. Lyapina Lane). The long street, located from south to north, is called Urishka (now Central Street with 74 houses). A small street (now Zarechnaya Street with 22 houses) is located along the Urika River, and in 1985, after young families settled there, the street was called Davydovka.
In 1929, graves were formed on the south and north sides of the village of Urishka, and until 1929 graves-cemeteries were in the village. Trofimovschina.
In 1930, the collective farm “New Life” was organized. In 1956-57, a radio was conducted in the village. In 1961, the village was electrified. Before the Great Patriotic War, the village had many gardens. In 1940-1941, due to severe frosts, the gardens froze. In 1988, a new school was opened. Since 1999, the collective farm "New Life" became part of the agricultural company "Elekom" [4] .
