Biography

Born March 31, 1954 in Moscow. In 1974 he graduated from the Kalinin Art and Industrial College (painting department). He studied at the workshop of Vasily Sitnikov. Between 1975 and 1989 he participated in numerous group exhibitions of nonconformist artists in Moscow.

From 1990 to 2002 he lived and worked in Frankfurt am Main , Germany , where he was the founder of the Voice Society (New Age Visionary Art).

From 2002 to the present, he lives and works in Los Angeles , California, where he opened the Museum-Temple “The House of Maitreya” with a permanent exhibition of his paintings and the School of Esoterics and Mystical Art.

His name is included in the famous Italian Catalog “Comanducci” of the most famous artists of Europe.

Painting Technique

The paintings of artist Vyacheslav Petrov-Gladky (Maitreya) are made with oil paints on specially prepared canvases. The technique varies from the so-called “dry brush” (inherited from the teacher Vasily Sitnikov) to a unique technique of its own with a filigree textured study that creates the illusion of “miraculous” and glow effect.
