Seimar Open is the annual Golf Championship of Kazakhstan . Held by the Seimar Social Fund and the Federation of Golf of Kazakhstan.
Seimar Open determines the Golf Champion of Kazakhstan and presents the Grand Prix Challenge Cup “Big Egg”. Grand Prix - Challenge Cup "Big Egg", was founded in 1998 by Margulan Seisembayev [1] . A huge ostrich egg in a glass flask was brought by the founder of the tournament from a business trip to South Africa.
The Seimar Open Golf Championship of Kazakhstan is traditionally held on the golf course "NURTAU" in the city of Alma-Ata .
Among the participants of the championship can be found such well-known Kazakhstani politicians as Abykayev, Nurtay Abykayevich , Kairat Satylganov , Zhakyp Marabayev , Mukhamedzhanov, Baurzhan Alimovich , Kaliev, Erkin Zhakenovich , etc.
History
- Conducted since 1998.
- In 2007, he gained the status of the Kazakhstan Golf Championship [2] , and is the qualifying stage for the International Open Golf Pro-am Tournament Kazakhstan Open , held in the European Challenge Tour .
- Between 1998 and 2012, Erkin Kaliev (Kazakhstan), [1] Alexander Strunkin (148, Russia) and Shim Je Dong six times in a row (148, 143, 134, 143, 142, Korea), Minalla Shahbaz (141, United Kingdom) won the 2006 tournament, Andrei Lagai (138, Kazakhstan) won the 2007 tournament, [3] Kim Do Yoon (140, Korea) became the champion of 2008, and Kang Ben became the champion of 2009 Koo (best gross 152, Korea), champion of 2010 - Nurlan Makulbekov (best gross 154, Kazakhstan), champion of 2011 - Kan Ben Koo (best gross 152, Korea). Junior from Almaty Daulet Tuleubayev (best gross 154, Kazakhstan) became the champion of 2012 [4]
- Seimar Open is a promising starting point for young talented athletes who are fighting for international recognition. Beginning athletes will constantly debut in the Championship since 2008. Over the 15 years of the Kazakhstani Seimar Open Championship, the list of participants has increased significantly and has “rejuvenated”.
- Golf in Kazakhstan is one of the fastest growing sports. Today, there are 6 golf clubs, 4 children's golf schools in Kazakhstan, one of the prestigious stages of the European Challenge Tour - Kazakhstan Open , dozens of pro-am tournaments are held annually.
