Sangay [2] ( Spanish: Sangay ) is an active stratovolcano in South America .

Located in Ecuador, on the eastern slope of the Andes. Height above sea level - 5230 m. The volcano has three craters . Scientists believe that the volcano formed about 14,000 years ago.
The first recorded eruption occurred in 1628. The last eruption was in 2016. The volcano has often erupted since 1934.
Located in the Sangai National Park .
