Grua ( fr. Île de Groix , Bret. Groe ) - a small island in the Gulf of Morbihan . Administratively, it is a commune belonging to the Brittany department of Morbihan .

Area 14.82 km² (8 per 3 km ), population - 2364 people. [1] ( 2009 ), residing in the villages of Saint-Tyudy and Lokmaria . The island is located near Lorient , from where ferries depart several times a day. In clear weather, Belle-Ile is clearly visible from the island. [2] The entire center of the island is raised 35-48 m above sea level .
Rabbits and feral cats are common on the island, toads are less common. Pheasants are common among birds . There are many seabirds on the shores .
