Name Origin

The name arose at the beginning of the XVIII century according to the church of the Holy Martyr Blasius β€œthat on the Goat’s Swamp”, known from the beginning of the XVII century. The definition of Bolshoi distinguishes the lane from Maly Vlasyevsky , named so later and smaller in size.

Description

Bolshaya Vlasyevsky Lane starts from Bolshaya Mogiltsevsky at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Mogiltsy and runs north parallel to Plotnikov , on the right adjoins Prechistensky Lane , on the left - Maly Mogiltsevsky , then crosses Gagarinsky Lane and goes to Sivtsev Vrazhek.
