Biography
Ernst-Hugo Yeregord was born in Ystad , Flax Malmöhus , Sweden . Since 1962, he was an actor at the Swedish Royal Drama Theater, then he played a number of brilliant roles: the eccentric Hitler in Svejk in the Second World War (production by Bertold Brecht , 1963), Tarragon in the legendary production of 1966 by Samuel Beckett “ Waiting for Godot ”, Tersita in Shakespeare’s play “Troilus and Cressida” (1967), Orgona in the play by Moliere “Tartuffe” (1971), Hjalmar Ekdal directed by Ingmar Bergman (1972), Ibsen’s “Wild Duck” , Nero in “Britannica” by Jean Racine (1974) Dr. Yeregord actively collaborated with Danish director Lars von Trier. Their friendship lasted until the death of Yeregorda. He can be seen in such films as “Europe” (1991), “Kingdom” (1994-97), “Transformer-portrait of Lars von Trier” (1997).
