Biography

He graduated from the Nikolai Lysenko Kyiv Secondary Musical School ( Ukrainian. Kyivska Middle School specializes in the International Internat Іmeni M. Lysenka Lysenka School ) in pipe class and the Tchaikovsky Kiev Conservatory in pipe and opera and symphonic conducting. Then he studied in graduate school of the Moscow Conservatory .

From 1964 he was the conductor, and from 1967 - the chief conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra of the Ukrainian SSR . From 1973 to 1977 he worked as a conductor of the Kiev Opera and Ballet Theater , then until 1988 he was the principal conductor of the Musical Theater named after Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko in Moscow .

From 1989 to 2012 - Chief Conductor of the Academic Opera and Ballet Theater of the Ukrainian SSR named after T. Shevchenko (National Opera of Ukraine) . In 1978 - 1988 taught at the Gnessin Moscow Pedagogical Institute . Since 1993 - Professor of the Kiev Conservatory .
