Entomological Review - Russian scientific journal of the Russian Entomological Society and RAS , devoted to the problems of entomology . It was founded in 1901 [1] [2] .

History
It was founded in 1901 in Yaroslavl as the “ Russian Entomological Review ” and was published at personal expense by entomologists D. K. Glazunov , N. R. Kokuev , A. P. Semenov-Tian-Shansky , T. S. Chicherin , N. N. Shiryaev and A.I. Yakovlev ( English ). The magazine several times changed the name and publishers [3] .
By a decision of the Council of the Russian Entomological Society (REO) of October 22, 1903, a subsidy was allocated to Yaroslavl publishers of the Russian Entomological Review at their request, and since 1904 the journal has been published with the assistance of REO.
Since 1906, it has become the printed organ of the Russian Entomological Society and begins to be published in St. Petersburg . From 1918 to 1921 he suspended his activities.
Since 1922, the magazine has been published in the State Publishing Houses of Moscow and Petrograd. Due to organizational and financial problems, the magazine did not appear in 1924 and 1931-1932.
Since 1933, the journal has been published under the name Entomological Review (as a continuation of Russian Entomological Review) and published by the science sector of the People's Commissariat of Education .
From 1935 to 1938 the magazine was published in its own publishing house of the State All-Union Entomological Society. From 1939 to 1944, the magazine again interrupted the publication. Since 1945, the journal has been published with the support of the USSR Academy of Sciences ( Russian Academy of Sciences ). Until 1964, the publication was carried out by the publishing house of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR , and then the publishing house "Science" . [four]

Current status
The journal is published 4 times a year in Russian (each issue is approximately 200 pages), and is also translated into English and published under the name Entomological Review. It is published in the publishing house "Science" . In 2018, the 97th volume of the journal was released. The journal is included in the List of scientific journals of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia . The editors are located at the Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences ( St. Petersburg ).
