Ship Description
One of two ships of the same type built in Voronezh . The armament of the ship was 60 guns, and the crew consisted of 550 people [2] .
The motto of the ship is “Healed by His Death” [3] .
Service History
The ship "Scorpion" was laid in Voronezh in January 1704 and, after launching in 1709, became part of the Azov fleet . The construction was carried out by the ship master Osip Nai [4] .
In 1710, the ship was rebuilt in Tavrov to participate in the 1711 campaign, but was not launched in the spring of 1711 due to low water in the Voronezh River. The hull of the ship was dismantled on a slipway in Tavrov in 1727 [4] .
