Samniy , obsolete - Samnum ( lat. Samnium , Greek Σαυνιτῶν , Osk : Safinim ) is a historical region of ancient Italy, inhabited mainly by a group of Italic Samnite tribes (guirrines, pentries, Karatsy).
The territory of Samnius was located between Apulia , Campania , Lazio , Pitzen and the regions of the Mars and other small nations. Samneria's largest cities were Ezernia , Bovian, and Benevent .
