Biography

Born on July 18 ( July 31 ), 1909 in the city of Lozovaya (now Kharkiv Oblast , Ukraine ) in the family of a railway worker.

  • 1925-1929 - worker, ten foreman at the workshops of the railway station Lozovaya.
  • 1929-1933 - student of KhISI .
  • 1936-1939 - Chief Engineer of the construction of factories of the Trust "Industrial".
  • 1939-1950 - manager of construction trusts in Ukraine and the Urals. He restored enterprises in Makeevka , Kharkov , Donetsk , Dnepropetrovsk , Sterlitamak .
  • 1950-1954 - member of the board, deputy minister of construction of machine-building enterprises of the USSR.
  • 1954–1955 - Head of the Main Directorate for Housing and Civil Engineering under the Moscow City Executive Committee.
  • 1955-1956 - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR.
  • 1955-1961 - Chairman of the State Committee of the Council of Ministers of the USSR for Construction .
  • Since January 1961, President of the Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the USSR, at the same time Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Construction Affairs of the USSR - USSR Minister.

Member of the Armed Forces of the USSR 5-6 convocations (1958-1963). Member of the Central Committee of the CPSU (1956-1963).

He died on November 26, 1963 . An urn with ashes was buried in the Kremlin wall on Red Square.

In 1963, the name of V. A. Kucherenko was assigned to the TsNIISK Research Institute.
