Biography
Hans Liska (Hans Liska) was one of the most famous German artists who worked during the Second World War.
Austrian artist Hans Liska went to the front in 1939 as part of one of the mouths of propaganda in which he served throughout the war. Similar companies were attached to every German army. These units had some freedom of action - they could themselves choose a sector of the front on which to cover military operations. Often the company was divided into separate fighters, who acted as part of the conventional units of the Wehrmacht. The propagandist soldiers who underwent the usual military training of the German infantryman had to be able to write reports, take spectacular photographs and equally spectacular movie shots, draw front-line landscapes.
Pictures of Hans Liski published not only the leading German publications such as the Berliner Illustrirte Zeitung and Signal, but also magazines in neutral countries. In 1942 and 1943, the publishing house Karl Werner from Reichenbach released two albums of his drawings. He died in Schesslitz .
