Faik Balag oglu Agayev ( azerb. Faiq Ağayev ; born December 29, 1971 , Baku) - Azerbaijani pop singer, People's Artist of Azerbaijan.

On the professional stage since 1988 . He made his debut at the musical competition “Baku Autumn '88”, becoming a diploma student of the 1st degree, then became the winner of the Republican competition “Golden Autumn '89”, the international competition “Vitebsk '90”, the international competition of the television song “Yalta '92” (becoming a diploma winner) ^{[ 1]} .

In 1993 , he graduated with honors from the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts with a degree in musical theater. After that, he became the winner of the International competition of retro songs named after Claudia Shulzhenko “Kharkov '95” and the competition “Golden Hlyager” - Mogilev '96.

Since 1996, Faik Agayev is the soloist of the Azerbaijan State Television and Radio. In 2012 - 2013 - soloist of the Azerbaijan State Mugam Theater.

In 1995, the singer’s first album, “Ola bilməz”, was released (It Cannot Be). Then in 1996, “Səni əvəz eləmir” (Nothing can replace you), in 1998, “Vəfasızım” (My Wrong), in 1999, “Faiq Ağayev - Seçmələr” (Faik Agaev - Favorites), in 2000, “Minilliyin sonu” (End of the Millennium) and in 2002, Tam məxfi (Top Secret). On September 17, 2008, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Faik Agayev was awarded the honorary title “People's Artist of Azerbaijan”.

In subsequent years, Faik Agaev recorded a number of new songs: “Bal Kimi” (Like Honey), “Hiss Et” (Feel), “Odlanacaqsan” (Burn), “Bıllahi” (By God), “Əlvida” (Farewell), etc. . d.

On December 27-30, 2012 Faik Agaev held a 4-day full-length recital “VIDA” in the Heydar Aliyev Palace.

In 2013 and 2015 he was a member of the Azerbaijan national jury of the international Eurovision Song Contest .
