Omar Cabezas Lacayo ( Spanish Omar Cabezas Lacayo , born in 1950 , Leon ) is a Nicaraguan revolutionary , politician and writer . Member of the leadership of the FSLN , head of the political department of the Ministry of the Interior, Comandante de Brigade of the Sandinista Popular Army .

During the partisan struggle against dictatorship, together with Bayardo Arce , Manuel Morales , Monica Baltodano and Manuel Meirena was part of the regional leadership of the north.
The only of the four Sandinista brothers returned alive after a partisan war in the mountains.
Gabriel García Márquez and Ernesto Cardenal are highly appreciated by his book The Making of the Sandinist Fighter.
