History
From 1912 to 1963, the club continuously played in the championships, starting with the Saarland League, the Rhine-Saar District League and the new Regional League , formed in 1933 by the German Football Union during the reorganization of football as directed by the leadership of the Third Reich . Borussia remained in the South-West / Main-Hesse Regional League , during which time the club showed good results in the league, but could not take first place. Like other organizations in the country, including sports and football associations, Borussia was disbanded by the allied occupation authorities after World War II , but was quickly recreated under its current name.
Throughout its history, the club spent three seasons in the first Bundesliga : 1964/65, 1965/66 , 1967/68 . The highest achievement - 10th place, taken in the first of three seasons.
The early years
The first 4 years since the creation of the Noynkirchenians played in Class B of the Saarland, and in 1912 moved to First Class. Being on the rise, already in 1911 they were considered favorites and could go to the class above, but failed. Before World War I , Borussia played in the First Class, became the penultimate twice and did not gain much fame. With the onset of war, the championship was stopped.
