Geographical position
Located in the Marmarosh Basin on the right bank of the Tisza [3] [4] [1] .

History
The documents were first mentioned in the XIV century . In 1329, the Hungarian king Karl Robert granted the city (together with Khust , Vyshkov, Dovgim Paul and Sighet ) the royal title with the corresponding privileges.
Residents of Tyachev participated in the uprising of Doji Györgya in 1514, the movement of Ferenc Rakoczy in 1703-1711, and the revolution of 1848-1849. [6] .
After the collapse of Austria-Hungary in late 1918, the village remained on the territory of Hungary. On April 10, 1919, a directory was elected here and the power of the Hungarian Soviet Republic was proclaimed, but in the second half of April 1919 the village was occupied by Romanian troops, in September 1919 they were replaced by Czechoslovak troops and the village was included in Czechoslovakia [6] .
After the Munich agreement of 1938, the situation in Czechoslovakia became complicated, Slovakia declared independence on March 14, 1939, and on the same day the Hungarian troops went on the offensive in Transcarpathia . March 15, 1939 the Hungarian troops occupied Tyachev and he was part of Hungary [6] .
On October 23, 1944, Tyachev occupied parts of the 17th Guards Rifle Corps of the Red Army, the People’s Committee was elected here in November 1944, and in 1945 it became part of the USSR as part of Transcarpathia [6] .
On September 5, 1946, the publication of a regional newspaper began here [7] .
In 1956, a fruit-canning factory , furniture production, mill, operated in the urban village of Tyachiv,three secondary schools , the House of Culture , the House of Pioneers , three libraries, a cinema, a horticultural state farm and the regional MTS [3] .
In 1961, Tyachev received the status of a city of regional subordination [4] [6] [1] .
In 1984, there was a metal factory [4] , a cannery [4] , an art factory [4] , a bread factory, a bread factory, a brick factory, regional agricultural chemistry, a consumer services factory, a hospital, a polyclinic, a vocational school, a music school school, sports school, House of Culture, three libraries and a cinema [6] .
In January 1989, the population was 11 107 people [8] , the basis of the economy at that time were food industry enterprises, an art products factory and a metal products factory [1] .
In May 1995, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a decision on the privatization of the Zenit plant, ATP- 12141 [9] , a cannery, agricultural and agricultural machinery and equipment [10] located in the city, and in July 1995 a decision was approved on the privatization of MPMK No. 1 [11] ] .
In May 2007, an economic court of the Transcarpathian region opened a bankruptcy case for the Zenit plant [12] .
As of January 1, 2013, the population was 9172 people [13] .

Attractions
The city has a Catholic church built in 1780 , a Greek Catholic church built in 1852 , a Reformed church, a synagogue (not functioning), an Orthodox church , a Seventh-day Adventist church , a hall of the kingdom of Jehovah's Witnesses , a church of evangelical Christian Baptists and several others .
Until 1944, a rich library was kept at the Reformed Church.
In the city center there are remarkable buildings - architectural monuments:
- Roman Catholic Church of St. Stefan (1780).
- Greek Catholic Church of the Virgin Mary (1852).

The origin of the word "Tyachev" is not exactly known. Existing interpretations are related to the source of the legend. Speakers of different linguistic cultures see only harmonies close to them, and, therefore, the options do not converge.
