Chairman of the State Assembly of the Altai Republic

The Chairman of the State Assembly - El Kurultai of the Altai Republic is the head of the highest representative, legislative body of state power in the territory of the Altai Republic ( State Assembly of the Altai Republic ).

In accordance with Article 110 of the Constitution of the Altai Republic, the Chairman of the State Assembly - El Kurultai of the Altai Republic:

1. represents the State Assembly - El Kurultai of the Altai Republic in relations with republican, federal and state authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation , within the scope of his authority and on behalf of the State Assembly - El Kurultai, coordinates the inter-parliamentary activities of the State Assembly - El Kurultai;
2. carries out general management of the activities of the State Assembly - El Kurultay, conducts meetings of the State Assembly - El Kurultay, is in charge of its internal routine;
3. signs the laws of the Altai Republic and legal acts adopted by the State Assembly - El Kurultai of the Altai Republic, certifying the authenticity of the text and confirming their adoption by the legislative body of the republic, then sends the laws to the Head of the Altai Republic, the Chairman of the Government of the Altai Republic for signing and promulgation;
4. submits to the State Assembly - El Kurultai, candidates for election as deputy chairmen of the State Assembly - El Kurultai, chairpersons of the standing committees of the State Assembly - El Kurultai and chairman of the Audit Chamber of the Republic of Altai;
5. coordinates the activities of the committees of the State Assembly - El Kurultai, gives them instructions to implement decisions of the State Assembly - El Kurultai of the Altai Republic;
6. manages the work of the apparatus of the State Assembly - El Kurultai, appoints and dismisses the heads of structural units of the apparatus of the State Assembly - El Kurultai, enjoys the right to hire and dismiss specialists, auxiliary and technical personnel serving the activities of the State Assembly - El Kurultai;
7. is the manager of financial and material resources of the State Assembly - Al Kurultay;
8. resolves other issues that may be entrusted to him by the State Assembly - El Kurultay.

On the issues of his competence, the Chairman of the State Assembly - El Kurultai of the Altai Republic issues orders. In case of violation by the Chairman of the State Assembly - El Kurultai of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, federal laws, the Constitution and laws of the Altai Republic, the State Assembly - El Kurultai of the Altai Republic has the right to raise a question and decide on his dismissal, if such a decision is adopted by at least two-thirds of the votes of the established number of deputies of the Altai Republic.
