Mikhail Stepanovich Derzhavin (surname at birth - Zakharov ; July 12 (25), 1903 , p. Aksinino, Moscow province - July 30, 1951 , Moscow ) - Soviet theater and film actor. People's Artist of the RSFSR (1946). Laureate of the Stalin Prize of the first degree ( 1946 ).

Biography

Mikhail Derzhavin was born in the village of Aksinino (now the Moscow region). Father - Stepan Klimovich Zakharov (1877-1941).

In 1918 - apprentice gunsmith at AOMS in Moscow, in 1920 - 25 - time-attendant of the Moscow Metallolamp plant.

In 1924 he entered the Studio named after Evgeny Vakhtangov . Since 1928 - actor of the Theater named after E. Vakhtangov .

He made his film debut in 1931 in a small role in the film " Mechanical Traitor ". He played the main role - General Muravyov, whose prototype was G.K. Zhukov - in the film "The Great Change".

Mikhail Derzhavin died on July 30, 1951 . He was buried in Moscow at the Novodevichy cemetery (plot number 2).
