Biography

Dmitry Shevchenko was born on June 17, 1964 in the city of Odessa ( Ukrainian SSR ).

In 1986 he graduated from the Faculty of Engineering and Economics of Odessa Polytechnic Institute , participated in the first team " Odessa Gentlemen " of the Club of the Fun and Inventive (KVN) .

In 1990, he graduated from the N.K. Cherkasov Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (LGITMiK) (course leader - Yefim Mikhailovich Padve ) with a degree in drama theater and cinema.

From 1991 to 1992, he collaborated with the independent project "The Community of Actors of St. Petersburg."

From 1992 to 1997 he served in the Russian State Academic Drama Theater named after A.S. Pushkin (Alexandrinsky) in St. Petersburg .

Since 1997, lives in Moscow .

In 2012, he was in the lead role ( Alexei Alexandrovich Karenin ) in the play “Karenin” based on the novel by Anna N. Tolstoy “ Anna Karenina ” directed by Viesturs Meikshansa at the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov [1] .

Personal life

The actor was in a relationship with actress Maria Shalaeva . In 2005, the couple had a son Nestor.
