Description
Deeply incised in moraine ridges, the basin of the lake belongs to the hollow type. It is characterized by a high ratio of length to width, weak indented coasts, and a trough-like form of a hollow. The slopes to the water over almost the entire length are high (up to 25-30 m), and only in the southeast do they give way to swampy shores. The slopes of the basin are very steep (up to 30 °), the greatest depth is almost 40 m, the average is 15.3 m [3] . The volume of water is 0.01189 km³. Surface area - 0.78 km². The catchment area is 1.64 km².
The lake is very low flow. The full water change period is about 30 years, which makes the lake very sensitive to economic activity. In the north, a channel flows from Lake Bolduchitsa into the lake; in the south, a channel flows into the Stracha River .
Plant World
A narrow littoral strip and steep slopes of the basin limit overgrowing of the lake. Surface macrophytes are represented by a narrow strip of reeds and reeds . In the southeast, where the slopes are more gentle, the overgrowing strip expands to 50-80 m, plants with floating leaves appear.
Fauna
Lake Balduk is a typical sigovo - slug water reservoir. Also found pike , bream , perch , roach , bleak [4] .
Ecology
The southern and western parts of Lake Balduk are located on the territory of the former Blue Lakes Nature Reserve, which now became part of the Narochansky National Park. The territory of the former reserve is a conservation area where human activities, including their location (with the exception of specially designated parking lots) are strictly prohibited. The northern part of the lake is a wonderful tourist attraction.
