Kuznetsk Medvedy Hockey Club Novokuznetsk is a youth ice hockey team from Novokuznetsk . Formed on the basis of farm-club " Metallurg " - "Metallurg-2". Since 2009 he has been playing in the Championship of the Youth Hockey League [1] .

2009/2010 season

The best achievement of the Kuznetsk Bears in the playoffs is to reach the final in the first season of the MHL 2009/10. Novokuznechane under the leadership of Sergey Krasilnikov won silver medals. In the 1/8 finals, Kuznetsk Bears Bears started with a victory in the 3: 1 series over the Moscow Wings of the Soviets - 5: 6, 3: 2, 3: 0, 4: 3. And in the decisive fifth bout, which took place in Ufa, they won - 6: 1! In the final, the Kuznetsk Bears played with the Steel Foxes .

The series against Magnitka began with defeats at a party - 3: 5 and 3: 4. 7200 spectators came to the first final game in Novokuznetsk. The Bears pleased their fans with a 2-0 win. But the score in the series did not work. The next day, the team lost 2: 3 and lost in the series 1: 3. As a result, becoming the silver medalist of the season. Then, in particular, Novokuznechan played for the following: goalkeeper Sergey Bobrovsky , in the 2016/2017 season, beat several Columbus records in the NHL and takes 1st place in the league in terms of the number of matches won in the regular season; defender Zakhar Arzamastsev , who made his debut in the 2016/2017 season as part of the Russian team , who took part in the KHL All-Star Game, and defender Dmitry Orlov , in terms of NHL utility , is now (2016/2017 season) among the top five hockey players of the entire league.

2011/2012 season

In 2012, Novokuznechan in the playoffs started with 1/8 finals. Rival novokuznechan was "Tolpar . 2012/2013 season

In 2013, the struggle for the main trophy of the MHL for novokuznechan began again with the stage 1/8 finals. The team expected confrontation with the "Omsk Hawks". The Bears lost in the series 0: 3 (3: 4B, 0: 2, 1: 5). Although winning at least one win was a chance. In the first fight in Omsk, the Novokuznetsk team led 1: 0, 2: 1 and 3: 2, but eventually lost to the shootouts. The Hawks then became champions. The Bears main goalkeeper was the strongest goalkeeper of the KHL season 2015/2016, the player of the Russian team and CSKA Ilya Sorokin .

In 2014, the Bears started in the playoffs from the 1/16 final stage. Rival Novokuznechan became Berd "Crystal" . After the matches on the road, the score in the series was 1: 1 (6: 5B, 2: 4). The first playoff match at the Sports Palace ended in favor of the Bears (3: 1), but it did not work out for the next stage of the tournament on their ice - Kristall took revenge for the loss with an identical score. And the decisive match was to be held in Berdsk. In the fifth bout, in the starting period, the Novokuznechans withdrew all questions about the winner, having thrown 5 unanswered goals into the opponent's goal. The game ended with a score of 6: 3, the Bears won the series 3-2 and reached the 1/8 final. Further, the Kuznetsk Bears was waiting for a meeting with Kazan "Bars". Having lost on the road 1: 3 and 0: 3, Novokuznechan lost in the home match 1: 6. “Bars” eventually went further, reached the semifinal stage, where he lost to the future champion - Moscow “Spartak” . The main goalkeeper of the Bears was Andrei Kareev , who in the 2016/2017 season received a call to the Russian Olympic team. Artem Antipov, a forward, played for the team, then made his debut in the KHL with CSKA.

Season 2014/2015

In 2015, the Novokuznechans lost to the White Bears in the 0: 3 series (1: 2, 3: 5, 3: 5) in the first stage of the Kharlamov Cup. The head coach of Chelyabinsk, who eventually reached the semifinal, was Anvar Gatiyatulin , who is now successfully working in the KHL with Tractor (season 2016/2017). Dmitry Starchenko, who is now one of the Novokuznechan coaches, became the most productive in the knockout games at the Bears.

Season 2015/2016

This season, the Kuznetsk Bears played in the fight for the Kharlamov Cup at the stage of 1/8 finals. Novokuznechane lost 1: 3 in the “Steel Foxes” series (2: 3B, 3: 5, 3: 2, 0: 3). These games were the last ones in the team of our city for Kirill Kaprizov , who successfully debuted for the first Russian team at the Euro Tour stage in the 2016/2017 season, scored 23 goals in the KHL and took 2nd place in Salavat Yulaev in the regular season by number points.

Season 2016/2017

The past smooth season was for the team the most successful on several indicators at once. “Kuznetsk Bears” in 60 matches played won 31, which is 51.6% of the maximum possible result. Prior to this, the best win rate was shown in the 2011/2012 season - 46.6% (28 wins in 60 fights).

Kuznetsk Bears completed the first stage of the 2016/2017 MHL championship in 4th place in the Vostok conference, scoring 113 points, which was also the highest figure in the team's history. 3.73 pucks per game (224 in 60 matches) - another record for the Bears. This indicator also became the third among all MHL teams at the end of the season. Only the hockey players of the Omsk Hawks (230) and the Mammoths of Ugra from Khanty-Mansiysk (226) scored more novokuznechan.

Kuznetsky Bears forward Konstantin Parkhomenko and Andrei Karavayev followed the regular season in the list of league leaders by several indicators. Thus, in the race of scorers Karavaev ranked third with 79 (28 + 51) points for performance in 54 games played, Parkhomenko - fourth with 70 (31 +39) points in 52 games.

Among the snipers of the championship Parkhomenko third, Karavaev among the top ten and is located on the sixth position.

By the number of assists, Karavayev and Parkhomenko rank second in the league and fifth respectively.

In this parameter, as an indicator of utility, the top ten leading players of the MHL include four players of Kuznetsky Bears. The most useful in the entire league was Konstantin Parkhomenko - “+42”. With the indicator "+36" Andrei Karavaev became the fourth. Denis Ludtsev took the sixth line, ending the season with “+34” in 60 games, and Mark Petrov, who also played in the season in all matches - ninth with “+31”.

Effective performance of Andrei Karavaeva were the best in the history of the Kuznetsk Bears. The striker surpassed the result of Konstantin Turukin of the 2011/2012 season, who were up to this point the best of all the time the Bears performed in the MHL - 62 (26 + 36) points in 60 matches. Karavayev set the bar for scored points (79) and assists (54).

At the 1/8 stage of the Kharlamov Cup Kuznetsky Bears Cup final, they met with the Sarmatians from Orenburg. This series was the longest for Novokuznechan, the teams played all 5 matches (3: 4 B, 4: 3 OT, 5: 1, 3: 4, 6: 1).

Further, already in the quarter-finals, the “Bears” were to play with the team from Kazan - “Irbis” . The team dedicated their access to the quarter finals of the Kharlamov Cup to Sergey Nailevich Gimaev . Matches of the series began in the capital of Tatarstan, following the results of two fights Novokuznechane conceded 0: 2 (3: 4B, 1: 6) and risked ending the performance in the Kharlamov Cup. But the Kuznetsk Bears managed to first level the score at home games (4: 3, 3: 1), and then to win the entire quarterfinal series - 4: 2 in Kazan.

The third opponent of the Bears in the MHL playoff championship games was the Red Army from Moscow. The first two matches of the series also began for the Kuznetsk Bears as a guest, and the Red Army was ahead (4: 5, 3: 5). The third match of the series gathered in the stands of Novokuznetsk Palace of Sports more than 7,500 thousand fans.

“Kuznetsk Bears” showed selfless hockey, in every moment they fought to the end, but gave way to the final of the “Red Army”. The result of the meeting - 4: 2 in favor of the Muscovites.

Playoff games in Novokuznetsk invariably collected a large number of fans, and hockey fans from various cities of the Kemerovo Region watched live games of the Bears in cinemas and various institutions on the air. MHL playoff statistics

In the 2016/2017 season, the Kuznetsk Bears, for the sixth consecutive season, took part in the knockout games. For the fifth time, this result was achieved by hockey players under the leadership of Alexander Kitov. The regular season season 2016/2017 was the best in the history of the team. Under Alexander Sergeevich, the Bears earned their highest percentage of points (see table). So, during the season, the Novokuznechans succeeded in a series of 16 fights, in which the team always earned points, in particular, having won 10 victories in a row.

From the number of teams that came out in the “East” in the playoffs of 2017, “Bears” scored the greatest number of goals, again setting a personal record for the performance in the MHL. The previous achievement in the effectiveness of the Novokuznechans was also executed under the leadership of Alexander Kitov, in 2012 - then 218 goals were scored. Now, with the same number of games (60), the Bears have distinguished themselves by 6 goals more.

In the season 2016/2017 several players of the Kuznetsk Bears at the end of the season were among the leaders of the MHL in the main statistical indicators.

The 19-year-old striker Andrei Karavayev became the top scorer in Novokuznechan, who took the 3rd place in the list of the most successful players of the smooth season. Forward in 54 matches scored 79 (28 + 51) points. Omichi Artem Manukyan (106 to 60) and Anton Kovalev (87 to 53) earned more points, but the “Hawks” did not make it to the 2017 playoffs. Karavaev in the 2016/2017 season set a new record for the Kuznetsky Medved hockey players on the total number of points scored in the regular season and the average performance per match (see table). The previous record belonged to Konstantin Turukin, who is now playing in the Major League for the Ust-Kamenogorsk Torpedo. In the 2011/12 season, he scored 62 points in 60 matches. The captain of the Kuznetsk Bears, Konstantin Parkhomenko, was the fourth MHL scorer during the 2016/2017 season. The 20-year-old striker in 52 matches scored 70 (31 +39) points and turned out to be the best sniper of the Novokuznechan, repeating the team record set in the 2011/12 season by Vadim Mitryakov, who is now playing in the Kazakhstan Championship. Mitryakov also distinguished himself 31 times, but at the same time he spent 1 match less than Konstantin (see table). In the course of the championship season 2016/2017 Parkhomenko gave an assist series of 5 matches in which he scored 9 goals. In the same season, Konstantin made his debut in the KHL as part of Metallurg Novokuznetsk and scored 3 (2 + 1) points in 9 matches. By the number of goals in the MHL Parkhomenko took the 3rd place in the championship, after Omsk Kovalev (41 goal) and Manukyan (39). Bears striker Andrei Karavaev in the league’s top snipers ranked 6th with 28 goals. Also Karavayev and Parkhomenko entered the top ten assistants of the MHL. Andrei took 2nd place in the league in terms of the number of assists (51) - only Manukyan (66) has the most, and Konstantin - 5th place (39). At the 10th position is another striker Kuznetsk Bears - 20-year-old Alexander Shevchenko (37).

In the 2016/2017 season, striker Konstantin Parkhomenko set a new achievement in the history of the Kuznetsk Bears. Before this season, no Novokuznetsk player could reach the “+30” indicator. Parkhomenko earned "+42" and became the most useful ice hockey player, not only of the team, but of the entire Youth Hockey League. Earlier, the record in terms of utility in “Bears” belonged to defender Alexei Kirillov, who is now playing for Spartak Moscow, who earned +29 in the 2012/13 season (see table).

The top ten hockey players of the MHL in terms of usefulness in the regular season 2016/2017 season included three more novokuznechan. Andrei Karavaev took 4th place (“+36”), 19-year-old striker Denis Ludtsev - 6th place (“+34”), 20-year-old defender Mark Petrov - 9th place (“+31”).
