Block 11.12 (Turkmen oil project)

Block 11.12 Project Block 11, 12 is a Turkmen oil and gas project implemented on the shelf of the Caspian Sea for the exploration of hydrocarbon resources. A hydrocarbon exploration license, signed in 2002 between the government of Turkmenistan and Danish company Maersk , covers the Block 11-12 oil field.

The project provides for the development of oil and gas on the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea . The development area is not an open field. Explored reserves of the block are at least 1 trillion. cubic meters of gas and more than 0.5 billion tons of oil .

Participants in the Block 11.12 project are the German oil company Wintershall holding AG (operator), the Danish oil company Maersk and the Indian ONGC Mittal Enerji ltd.
