It is located in the northern part of the region, 42 km north of Yartsev , 42 km north of the Belarus highway M1 , on the banks of the Votrya River. 43 km south of the village is the Yartsevo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
