It is located in the western part of the region 8 km south of Smolensk , 0.1 km south of the highway A141 Oryol - Vitebsk . 13 km southeast of the village is the Tychinino railway station on the Smolensk - Roslavl line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 [1] .
