Geography
Located in the western part of the region, 4 km north-west of Smolensk , 3 km south of the M1 Belarus road, on the bank of the Braginskaya River. The Smolensk railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line is located 6 km south-east of the village.
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 [1] .
