It is located in the western part of the region 17 km north of Krasnoye , 0.1 km north of the Belarus highway M1 , on the banks of the Smerdyachka River. Gusino railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line is located 1.5 km south of the village.
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
