It is located in the central part of the region 15 km south-west of Kardymov , 11 km south of the P134 Staraya Smolenskaya road, Smolensk - Dorogobuzh - Vyazma - Zubtsov , on the banks of the Erovenka River. 5 km north-east of the village is the railway station End on the line Smolensk - Sukhinichi .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
