Located in the northeastern part of the region, 4 km west of Gagarin , 8 km north of the Belarus highway M1 , on the banks of the Ovsyanka River. The railway station Gagarin on the Moscow - Minsk line is located 5 km east of the village.
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
