It is located in the north-eastern part of the region, 6 km north of Gagarin , 14 km north of the M1 Belarus highway, on the banks of the Gzhat River. 8 km south of the village is the Gagarin railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
