History
It leads its history from the Kirov Forestry Technical College and the Kirov Mechanical Technical School, established on April 1, 1919 . The Kirov Forestry Technical School was founded on March 18, 1949 by order of the USSR Minister of Forestry and Paper Industry Georgy Mikhailovich Orlov . In 1950, from February 23 to August 10, work was carried out on the construction of the first, wooden hull of the technical school. September 1, 1950 began classes in the wooden case. The following year, construction began on a new brick building and was completed in 1954. The new building is located in the central area of the city, on Karl Marx Street . [3] In 1954, the first graduation took place, from September 1, classes began in a new building. A correspondence department was opened. In 1956, open evening department. An educational and consulting center of the All-Union Correspondence Forestry Institute was opened in the building of the technical school. [four]
Association with the Kirov Mechanical Technical School Install the Kirov Economic Council [5] On December 4, 1958, the Forest Technical Technical School was united with the Kirov Mechanical Technical School (formerly the Kirov Industrial Technical School) [1] . The Kirov Mechanical Technical School is one of the oldest secondary educational institutions in a country with a rich history. It was created on April 1, 1919 on the basis of the Vyatka Zemstvo educational and demonstration workshops transformed into the Vyatka Industrial Art School.
In 1958, a hostel for students with 450 beds was commissioned. In 1959, the SSUZ was renamed the Kirov Polytechnic College . In 1974, the technical school became the winner of the All-Union review competition for the best technical school of the USSR Minlesprom. [6] In 1975, on the initiative of the teacher G. Ya. Sherman, a cable television studio was created at the technical school. In the same year, the second hostel was commissioned for 515 beds. In 1977, the teacher of A.I. Zotov opened a museum of the history of the technical school.
In 1991, the College was reorganized into a higher vocational school "Kirov Forestry College" . In 2002, the representative office of the Mari State University opened in the college. In 2006, the college entered the register of “100 best secondary vocational secondary schools in Russia” (Director - Vladimir Nikolayevich Chaikov). [7]

- Dorofeev, Anatoly Vasilyevich (1920-2000) [9] entered in 1935. A memorial plaque was installed on the building where the Hero was studying. 1939 graduate. Hero of the Russian Federation (1995).
