Basic Information
The main products of the Rare Metals Plant are compounds of high purity rare metals: cesium, rubidium , lithium, gallium , indium , bismuth, yttrium , lanthanide compounds, etc. ZRM is a manufacturer of a wide range of salts of rare elements in industrial quantities. The products are used in nuclear energy, optics, electronics, textile, metallurgical and pharmaceutical industries, in the production of catalysts. ZRM also develops and implements technologies for the production of inorganic compounds , carries out inorganic synthesis of reagents and highly pure substances, processes illiquid assets and wastes containing rare metals.
History
The rare metals plant was established in Novosibirsk on October 6, 1941 on the basis of the Sibgiredmet Institute. Specialists of two evacuated institutes, the Moscow Giredmet and the Odessa Ukrgiredmet, took part in the organization of the enterprise. The new plant organized the industrial production of compounds of bismuth , phosphors , lithium salts and strontium . At the end of World War II, these industries were transferred to other enterprises, and the plant began to produce lithium and cesium compounds. In addition to production, the enterprise also engaged in R&D , many technologies developed and developed at the Novosibirsk Rare Metals Plant were later transferred to other enterprises. Over the half-century history of the plant, its employees received about 200 copyright certificates for inventions , and degrees were protected.
For the development and development of technology for processing cesium-containing ore, a group of plant workers was presented to the Stalin Prize . Later, in the 1970s, the plant launched the production of solder fluxes using Italian technology for AvtoVAZ . For this achievement, a group of plant workers was awarded government awards [2] .
In 1992, it was transformed into an open joint stock company - Novosibirsk Rare Metals Plant OJSC (NZRM OJSC). In 2002, CJSC “Rare Metals Plant ” was allotted from OJSC NZRM, to which production facilities, technologies and personnel were transferred. In 2007, production was moved from the center of Novosibirsk to the region , the plant was rebuilt from scratch.
