Content
Biography
He received a bachelor's degree (1923) and a doctorate (1925) at the University of Vienna (studied under F. von Wieser and L. von Mises ). In 1927-1929 he studied in the UK and America on a Rockefeller Foundation scholarship.
In 1928 he began teaching at the University of Vienna. In 1932 he left Austria to lecture at Harvard University . In 1934-1936 he worked in the League of Nations in Geneva. From 1936 to retirement in 1971 he taught at Harvard University.

Winner of the B. Harms Prize (1972).
