The flag was approved on May 14, 2004 by the decision of the Mostovsky District Council of Deputies No. 264 [1] and entered into the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation with assignment of registration number 1875.

Description

The flag description, approved by the decision of the Mostovsky District Council of Deputies of 14.05.2004 No. 264 [1] , read as follows:

Rectangular panel, with a ratio of width to length of 2: 3. The upper part of the flag (1/4 of the width) is blue, the middle part (2/4 of the width) is green, on which is in the center an element of the coat of arms of the Mosty district (image of a bison), the lower part (1/4 of the width) is white.

On March 22, 2005, by the decision of the Council of the Municipal Formation, Mostovsky District No. 36 [2] , the provision on the flag was approved, in which the flag description underwent a slight change:

A rectangular panel with a width-to-length ratio of 2: 3, divided horizontally into three stripes: the upper strip of the flag — blue is 1/4 of the width of the flag; the middle lane (2/4 width) is green, in the center there is an element of the coat of arms of the Mosty region (bison), the lower part (1/4 of the width) is white.

The book "Official symbols of the Krasnodar Territory and municipalities" [3] , co-authored by the developers of this flag, describes the flag entered into the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation and approved on March 22, 2005, with different proportions of the bands:

A rectangular panel, with a width to length ratio of 2: 3, consisting of three horizontal bands: blue, green and white, occupying 1/5, 3/5 and 1/5 of the panel, respectively. In the middle of the green strip - the image of a yellow bison from the coat of arms of the area with black horns, eyes and hooves.

The image of the flag with narrower extreme bands is also depicted on the website of the Administration of the Municipal Formation in Mostovskoy district with a description of the proportions of the bands as 1-2—1 [4] [5] .

Symbolization Justification

The flag was developed on the basis of the coat of arms , which in the language of symbols and allegories displays the main elements of the natural wealth of the area.

The blue band is a symbol of a cloudless blue sky over a mountainous region.

The green strip - a symbol of forests, fields and mountains - the main wealth of the area.

Golden bison is a symbol of the unique natural conditions of the Caucasus State Reserve , which houses a large herd of bison. Bison - the king of bulls - the main beast of the Caucasian Reserve (in heraldry, bison is a symbol of vitality, diligence).

The white line - symbolizes the unique deposits of gypsum on the territory of the region, bringing significant income to the economy of the region (gypsum is one of the main mineral resources of the region and the region).
