Description
βThe flag of the Novopokrovsky district is a rectangular cloth with a ratio of width to length 2: 3, vertically divided into two equal parts - green and raspberry - and bearing in the middle the image of yellow connected ears between the white plate-cover (top) and the checker (bottom)β .
Justification of Symbols
The flag of the municipality of Novopokrovsky district is compiled on the basis of the coat of arms of the municipality of Novopokrovsky district according to the rules and relevant traditions of heraldry and reflects historical, cultural, socio-economic, national and other local traditions.
The village of Novopokrovskaya - the center of the district is the old linear, that is, the border village. It was founded in 1827 on the Eya River, along which the border between Russia and Turkey passed in the 18th century. Here, the Don Cossacks carried out their guard service, which is reflected on the flag by dividing the cloth into two strips and depicting a Cossack checker.
The veil allegorically indicates the name of the region - Novopokrovsky, making the flag a vowel.
A sheaf of ears indicates a priority sector of the regional economy - agriculture.
The ears connected in a sheaf allegorically symbolize eight rural settlements [2] located in the district. The settlements are connected not only by a common territory, they have common traditions, history, and spiritual origins. The ears, although connected in a single sheaf, do not merge into a common mass, emphasizing the individuality of each district.
Yellow color ( gold ) is a symbol of wealth, harvest, stability, respect, intelligence.
White color ( silver ) is a symbol of purity, perfection, peace and mutual understanding.
Raspberry color ( purple ) - a symbol of dignity, glory, honor and greatness; also often used in the form of Cossacks.
Green color is a symbol of nature, health, life growth.
