Biography
Club career
Walker began his sports career at the Guarani Football Club in Campinas , São Paulo . In 1999, Walker was in Amsterdam " Ajax ". As part of the youth team of this club, the Brazilian midfielder participated in the Netherlands Cup of the 2001/02 season, in which the main team of Ajax also played. In the 1/8 final match against Twente , which took place on December 12, 2001, Walker, in the 97th minute of the match, scored a golden goal from the penalty spot, which helped his team win with a score of 2-1 and reach the quarter finals [1 ] . With the youth team, Walker was able to reach the cup semi-finals, but in it the team lost to Utrecht in a penalty shootout with a score of 6: 7. The main team of Ajax was able to reach the Cup final and beat Utrecht with a score of 2: 3, thanks to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s golden goal in the 93rd minute of the match [2] .
In 2002, Walker was loaned for one season to the Belgian club Germinal Beershot . At the professional level, the Brazilian made his debut on September 15, 2002 in the championship match of Belgium against the club La Louviere , replacing Antoni Obodai in the 42nd minute, the match ended in a draw 1: 1 [3] . In the debut season for the club spent 23 matches in the championship and scored one goal scored [4] .
