Early life

Elizabeth Victoria Montgomery was born in Los Angeles in a family of actors. When she was 3 years old, her parents sent her to a music school, where she learned to play the piano and guitar. Her rich parents soon sent the girl to an elite school, and then to the Academy of Dramatic Arts. During his studies, thanks to his father, Robert Montgomery gets a role in his own series. After studying, Elise becomes the host of a popular talk show on ABC, also not without the help of her father.

Having married Escher, Elizabeth Montgomery, proposes a joint project Bewitched . Escher agrees and for 8 years he is immersed in the work on the project. Escher makes a deal with Chevrolet , the company was the sponsor of the series, until the 7th season. Elizabeth was sure that the show will come out on top in the rating. And so it happened - for all the time that the series was shown, it kept in first place. The film company Hanna-Barbera drew a trailer for the series (besides Elizabeth had worked with this company before), Elizabeth liked the trailer so much that she suggested making the screen saver for the series not real (with real faces and heroes), but drawn. By the end of the series, Escher files for a divorce, but the series closes. There was even an opportunity to shoot the ninth season. But Elizabeth was tired and went to a big movie.

After “My Wife Charmed Me”

After “My wife enchanted me,” Elizabeth opened doors everywhere. In 1980, she was offered to star in a commercial for Chocolate Cookies for viewers in Japan. From 1980-1983 she advertises cookies. Personal life

In March 1954, Elizabeth married Frederick Gollatin, but the marriage was not strong and broke up. Two years later, she married actor Gig Young and divorced again in 1963 . On the set, Elizabeth meets William Asher , and they get married. They have a son, William Allan Escher. Soon Asher and Montgomery conceived the project " My wife enchanted me. " She gets huge popularity. All the studios were just ready for anything so that Elizabeth starred in any film. Soon Elizabeth learns that she is pregnant again and offers to leave the project, but he was so successful that it was simply unacceptable to close it and they decide to include the pregnancy in the script of the series. After a while, they have another son - Robert Deverell Asher. After 4 years, Elizabeth is again expecting a baby and her pregnancy is again included in the script of the series. They have a third child, it was a girl Rebecca Elizabeth Asher. After 10 years of marriage, Escher filed for divorce. In 1974, Elizabeth returned to the cinema. On the set of Madame Sundance, she met actor Robert Foxworth , her future husband. But until January 1993, they simply lived together.

In June 1992, Elizabeth and her friend Dick Sargent advocated for the equality of sexual minorities. They led the Gay Parade in Los Angeles . Elizabeth had liberal views, unlike her father, who was a conservative and served with President Dwight Eisenhower. During the screening of the television series “My Wife Bewitched Me,” she was a staunch opponent of the Vietnam War , making several documentaries on this subject. In the late 80s and early 90s, she began to shoot a lot of doc. Films on various sore topics, two of them were on the theme "The collapse of the USSR " and "New Russia".

Sickness and death

In 1993, Elizabeth joined the organization RFB & D, which helps people with disabilities and publishes books, CDs and other devices. Elizabeth invested there 53 percent of the amount she has in her account. She called for sacrifice for the visually impaired, and others. She was appointed chairman of this organization.

In the spring of 1995, Elizabeth was examined by a doctor. Prior to this, she did not pay attention to flu-like symptoms. She finds out that she has bowel cancer. It was too late to do anything and she returned to her home in Beverly Hills, where she died May 18, 1995 in the circle of relatives and friends. Her body was cremated at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery . In Elizabeth’s personal diary, records were found that she was already ready for death and repented that she had abandoned her third husband, William Asher, where she admits that she had not loved Foxworth for a long time.

In 2005, a monument was erected in memory of Elizabeth (Elizabeth sits on a broomstick against the backdrop of the month) in Salem, Erin Murphy attended the celebration. On January 4, 2008, a star was erected on the Avenue of Stars in honor of Elizabeth.
