Technical Details
Ubuntu is used as the basis of the operating system. Until recently, Mozilla Prism was used to integrate with web applications, but since March 4, 2010 Google Chrome OS has been used .
Git is used as a version control system , as well as Trac for bug tracking.
Features
Unlike the previous version, Jolicloud 1.0 does not support desktop mode, and its main interface is based on HTML5 technology, as in Google Chrome OS , but it is also possible to save data and work with them on the computer’s hard drive, as in a regular OS, this feature dramatically differentiates Jolicloud from Chrome OS. Also, users of the system can install from a special database and synchronize all applications installed on different computers through their Jolicloud account. Jolicloud 1.1.1 is focused on supporting older computers, in particular support for Nvidia 10+ video cards a year ago, as well as expanded support for newer Nvidia graphics cards 5+ years old. With the release of the operating system version number 1.2, the name also changed to Joli OS, and the common space between your devices with Joli OS is Jolicloud.
