Annotation
Douglas Lee could not save the life of his comrade Larson, who crashed due to unknown reasons after entering a steep peak.
The comrades began to dislike and scornfully express his desire to learn more about this problem.
Douglas’s immediate boss also looked askance at the impudent newcomer, but after a while they became friends.
In the end, all personal disagreements were overcome.
Aviators and doctors together began to study the phenomenon that led to the death of the pilot: loss of consciousness at high altitude.
Their efforts were not in vain and the studies carried out saved the lives of hundreds of pilots flying up to the sky.
