Career
Early career
Razia began his career in open-wheel series in 2005 with the South American Formula 3 Championship . Chasing the Dragão Motorsport team, Razia finished the season in sixth place with six podiums, including two wins. He also participated in the Brazilian Formula Renault 2.0 , finishing in tenth position of the championship.
In 2006, Razia remained in South American Formula 3, eleven podium finishes, including seven wins, and he ended up becoming the champion, ahead of Mario Moraes and Diego Nunez . He also participated in three races of the series International Masters of Formula 3000 for the Charouz Racing team , he won all three races and finished the season in the eighth position of the championship. He also became a test pilot for the Brazilian team in the 2006-07 season of the A1 Grand Prix .
Euro Series 3000
The following year, the Brazilian went to Europe to participate in the Euroseries 3000. He started the season with the Fisichella Motor Sport team, but replaced it with ELK Motorsport due to the departure of Alks Danielsson . During the season, he climbed four times on the podium and finished the season in third place in the standings of the Euroseries and in the fourth Italian championship, which took place as part of the main series. Razia also performed in four races of the World Series Renault when he replaced Ricardo Risatti in GD Racing. [one]
In 2008, he remained in the Euroseries 3000 with ELK Motorsport, as a partner of Frenchman Nicolas Prost , son of four-time Formula 1 champion Alain Prost . [2] In Italian Formula 3000, he again finished the season in fourth position, earning three podiums, including his first victory at Misano .
GP2
Towards the end of 2006, Razia tested the GP2 at the Jerez racetrack for the Racing Engineering team and in September 2008 he tested again at Paul Ricard in southern France . [3] On October 2, 2008, it was confirmed that Razia would participate for the Trust Team Arden team in the 2008-09 GP2 Asia season . [4] He earned his first points at the Qatar night race, coming eighth in the main race and sixth in the sprint. In the final race of the season in Bahrain , Luis won his first victory, starting first - thanks to a reversing start system, as he finished eighth in the previous race.
He signed a contract with the Fisichella Motor Sport team to perform in the main GP2 series in 2009 . [5]
