Meshcheryakova Publishing House specializes in publishing children's literature , reprinting popular books, reprinting famous works, and publications by contemporary authors ^[1] , sometimes Soviet artists are invited to collaborate:

Over seven hundred books of various kinds and genres have been released: fiction for children and adults, albums, biographies of artists, children's non-fixin. The publishing policy in the choice of authors involves a combination of both classics ( F. M. Dostoevsky , A. T. Averchenko , A. S. Green , M. A. Bulgakov , Bokkacho , E. M. Remarque , A. Camus , G. Hesse ) and lesser-known authors ( Tom Tit , V. A. Levshin , K. D. Ushinsky , H. Bukai , John Row, D. Faleev, Mauri Kunnas , E. Basmanova, Thomas Brescina ).

Tales of A. S. Pushkin , “Frost Ivanovich” by V. F. Odoyevsky , “Elephant” and “Miraculous Doctor” by A. I. Kuprin , poems by D. Kharms , texts of modern authors - Sergey Georgiev, Olga Kuvykina, Martin Widmark are published in combined with illustrations by German Ogorodnikov, Vadim Medzhibovsky, Mauri Kunnas, John Rowe and other artists.

Work is underway on books on practical psychology. Among the authors of books of this kind are psychologists Andrew Matthews and Jorge Bukai.

The publishing house collaborates with the publishers Prestel Verlag (Germany), Fayard, Flammarion (France), Nuevo Extremo (Argentina), Knopf, New Harbinger (USA).

In 2013, the publishing house launched a series of BISS books (Large Illustrated Collected Works), which included books by Vladislav Krapivin, Cyrus Bulychev, Anatoly Rybakov, Valentin Rasputin, Sofia Prokofieva.

Among the most famous series of the publisher include: BISS, Pythagorean pants, Small book with a story, a novel with a story. Continuation, 101 book, Boys and girls, Reliving.

In August 2018, Eksmo Publishing House announced the purchase of a 51% stake in the publishing house ^[2] .

In May 2019, the publishing house published a book by Italian writer Andrea Camilleri , Footprints in the Sand . The detective was first translated into Russian. The publication of other books by the author is also expected.

A small number of books are subsidized by the Federal Press and Mass Media Agency ^[3] . In 2010, according to Forbes magazine , “the publishing house’s net profit exceeded 8 million rubles with a revenue of about 90 million rubles” ^[4] . By 2013, the Meshcheryakov Publishing House's EBITDA margin , which means before taxes, was, according to Vadim Meshcheryakov, “at best 12% of revenue,” which is a low indicator ^[5] .
