Nondrus is a river [2] in the Vinogradovsky district of the Arkhangelsk region of Russia , the largest [3] tributary of the Vaenga ( Northern Dvina basin ).

Geography
The source of Nondrus is located on the Dvina-Pinezhsky watershed , at an altitude of 158 meters above sea level, the mouth - at an altitude of 17 meters above sea level. In the upper reaches, Nondrus flows from the northeast to the southwest. Further turns to the northwest. At this point, the river connects with the lakes Big Yangozero and Kulish . In the middle reaches, Nondrus flows through Lake Klonovskoye . In the upper reaches, the river is crossed twice by the Nyavod branch of the Konecgorsk narrow gauge railway .
Features
The river is 103 km long [4] . The pool area is about 100 km². Food river snow and rain. Ledostavit - from the end of October - beginning of November to the end of April.
Tributaries
The main tributaries: on the left - Shatanets (flows from Midozero (Mizer) ), Manshev , Harin , Khabatukh , Pystroma , Shurovka , Birch, Bear, Olkhovka, Big Bear; on the right - Shidrovka , Kidova , Tarechka , Mock , Kolkovo , Vazhenets , Black .
History
Previously, a forest was rafted down the river. In 1946, the Nondrus rafting was stopped, and all the wood began to be exported by steam locomotives. From 1943 to 1973, the village of Nondrus existed on the river, which was closed due to depletion of the forest fund. Most of its residents were resettled in the village of Rochegda . In 1980, in the middle reaches of the Nondrus River, the Klonovsky Zakaznik was formed [5] .
